The Short Version

This Privacy Policy explains what information Kevball ("we," "us," "our") collects when you use kevball.online, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. By using the site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, fill out a player profile, or submit a pre-order. This includes:

• Account info — your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Firebase Auth)
• Profile info — display name, nickname, playing style, bio, avatar photo
• Game data — wins, losses, points, match history
• Pre-order info — name, email, phone number (optional), item selections
• Google sign-in — if you use Google to sign in, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google

We do not collect payment information. No credit card numbers, bank details, or financial data are stored on our servers at any time.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively to operate the Kevball platform:

• Displaying your player profile, stats, and ranking on the leaderboard
• Tracking match history and score updates
• Fulfilling merch pre-orders and contacting you when your order is ready
• Identifying admin accounts to manage the platform
• Sending you order confirmations or important platform updates (no marketing spam)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating Kevball.

Where Your Data Lives

All user data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore database and Firebase Authentication), hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Data is stored in the United States.

Firebase provides industry-standard security including encryption at rest and in transit. Your password is never stored in plain text — Firebase Auth handles authentication securely.

Avatar images you upload are stored as base64 data within Firestore. If you upload a photo, it becomes part of your player document.

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Period.

Your data is shared only in these limited circumstances:

• Public profile data — your name, nickname, stats, and bio are visible to all site visitors on the roster and rankings pages
• Firebase / Google — your data is processed and stored by Google Firebase as our infrastructure provider
• Platform admins — Kevball admins can see pre-order information (name, email, items) to fulfill orders
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the safety of users

Shop & Pre-Order Data

When you submit a merch pre-order, we store your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the items you selected. This information is used solely to:

• Track demand and determine when to place a bulk order
• Contact you to confirm your order and collect payment when ready
• Coordinate delivery of your items

No payment information is collected at the time of pre-order. Payment will be collected separately when the order is placed. Pre-order data is stored in Firestore and accessible to Kevball admins only.

Your Rights & Choices

You have full control over your information:

• Access — you can view all your profile data on your profile page at any time
• Update — edit your profile, nickname, bio, avatar, and preferences at any time
• Delete — contact us to permanently delete your account and all associated data
• Pre-order withdrawal — contact us before the bulk order is placed to remove your pre-order

Cookies & Local Storage

Kevball uses minimal browser storage. Firebase Authentication uses a session token stored in your browser to keep you logged in. This is a functional necessity, not a tracking cookie.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any similar tracking service.

Children & Minors

Kevball is a community platform intended for players who participate in Kevball games. If you are under 13 years of age, please have a parent or guardian review this policy and create your account on your behalf.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data without consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Kevball after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

We won't make material changes without making a reasonable effort to notify active users.
